My work -

I am passionate about developing and enhancing High-performance systematic processes that aim to boost athletic success. Though my background is in S&C and AT, I am intrigued by various high-performance athletic development topics and am open to new and challenging opportunities in this field. Here are some of the highlighters of my skills, ambitions, and passion:

  1. I thrive in a high-pressure elite sports (international) environment, chiefly where creativity is essential. I think big, and I masterfully manage my responsibilities. Over the years, I have also learned to work exceptionally well in an integrated team.

  2. I can also foresee opportunities and challenges and tackle them immediately. It is an excellent skill when developing and implementing new processes.

  3. I work hard, and I learn fast. Even though my background is in S&C and AT, I have also led processes in the realm of mental health as a coordinator and project manager.

I seek visionary, demanding, and rewarding opportunities that can make a dent in the sports world. More specifically, I search for opportunities to support athletes (directly or indirectly) in boosting their performance and achieving or maintaining an elite level. Below are some of the highlight projects/jobs I have worked on.

Mental Processes - Youth Athletes

While creating a holistic view of our developing Wingate Academy athletes, I led the development of an improved mental process, including a high-level overseas partnership. The process once consisted of different activities, and retrospect reporting now includes an annual plan and periodic testing (of athletes, coaches - on athletes themselves, and parents). The testing battery comprises different aspects contributing to athletes' well-being and performance.

My chief accomplishments throughout the operation -

  1. Strategic planning of the critical principles of the process.

  2. Coordination of the work of several key professionals to create the best feasible and advanced model.

  3. Digitization of the entire process.

  4. Assistance in the system's implementation alongside the psychologists until the takeover.

  5. Maintenance and development of partnerships (local and abroad) that contribute to the essence of mental testing.

World-Aquatics Development Center

In November 2022, while between jobs, I jumped on the opportunity to complete my required internship at the World Aquatics Development Center in Thanyapura Phuket. Besides being an incredible adventure, I learned quite a lot during this endeavour.

1. I practiced adjusting my communication style to each athlete considering their background (training age, exposure to support staff, language skills - mostly English but not limited to, etc).

2. I navigated (including some ups and downs) a truly international-multicultural environment (rarely did two individuals, including staff and athletes, come from the same country and background).

3. I sharpened my coaching skills by mastering short and precise training instructions to overcome language barriers.

AT for the ISL's LAC Team

During season II and part of season III, I was an athletic therapist for the LA Current Team of the International Swimming League. In this setting, I had the extraordinary opportunity to work alongside the best coaches in the world and meet the best swimmers. I was fortunate to be working with a staff open to new ideas to support our swimmers and allow me to offer my expertise beyond the treatment table. I offered activation and mobility sessions to all our athletes, with the less experienced ones taking full advantage of it. Their learning and progression (based on their feedback) immediately after the season (including routines integrated into the Tokyo Olympics Preparations) and then to the next.

AT on the Road

In the past few years, I have been fortunate to join the junior and national teams on multiple training camps and competitions abroad. Those trips were diverse and included the European Junior Championships and Olympic prep camps. All those brilliant opportunities allowed me to connect with the athletes on a deeper level and help set the dynamic and atmosphere to support the athletes best.

Intense by nature, with each trip, I got to practice and experience the dynamic of a travelling team. The balance between the staff and the athletes, or my role within the team, though different each time, I could build on the experience and develop.
